However, Stanton is determined to challenge stereotypes by proving that women can be successful in any career they want, according to a 2018 article from The Sun.
Tradies were raising their eyebrows upon seeing her being in the industry but the native from Melbourne, Australia was very sincere to prove his critics wrong.
“A lot of people aren’t used to seeing girls on the job, so they’re like ‘is she serious?’ But I think it’s also been a blessing. You have to work hard to prove yourself and get your hands dirty,” Stanton said in the report.
The news mentioned that the lady plumber in Australia was enrolled in beauty school before and it was because of the influence of her friends but while working as a labourer for her father, she realised that being a tradie is her real fate.
“I love using my hands and decided that’s what I wanted to be doing. I was the only girl to enrol at my Tafe, after 140 applications I landed my first roof plumbing job,” quoted by the news.
The Sun also mentioned that Stanton is now an ambassador for Tafe NSW – Australia’s largest vocational education and training provider.
Stanton gained her popularity after joining the reality TV programme Australian Survivor.
The stunner tradie wants to use her adventure in the world of plumbing to inspire the young generation not to mislead their lives on their chosen profession or the career they believe is their calling.
